CASE STUDY
Brought in to modernize Circle's web function by establishing governance, operational processes, technical standards, and scalable systems that transformed web from a reactive execution team into a strategic business capability.

01
Circle's web team was growing rapidly, but many of the operational foundations needed to scale effectively were still evolving. My focus extended beyond delivering websites: I worked to establish the governance, processes, documentation, and technical standards that enabled the team to operate more strategically, collaborate more effectively, and support the company's long-term growth.
02
As the organization scaled, the web team supported an increasing number of stakeholders, launches, and strategic initiatives. Processes varied across teams, documentation was limited, and many operational workflows depended on tribal knowledge rather than repeatable systems.
The opportunity wasn't simply delivering more web projects, it was creating the operational foundation needed to support sustainable growth. That meant improving governance, clarifying ownership, standardizing workflows, reducing operational friction, and enabling cross-functional teams to work together more effectively.
03
As Senior Web Manager, I owned the operational health of the web function, partnering across Product Marketing, Design, UX, Engineering, Legal, Security, and Marketing Operations. I scoped development work, prioritized initiatives, established technical standards, and served as the primary point of contact for web strategy and execution.
Beyond delivery, I focused on building the systems that allowed the team to scale. This included creating governance documentation, designing intake and onboarding processes, establishing team rituals, improving project visibility, standardizing workflows, auditing the existing web ecosystem, and laying the foundation for a reusable component library and design system.
04
Rather than optimizing individual projects, I focused on improving the operating model behind the web function. By documenting standards, reducing ambiguity, strengthening collaboration, and introducing scalable operational processes, the team could spend less time navigating complexity and more time delivering high-impact work.
05
Established a foundation for scaleable, repeatable operations
Improved efficiency across teams and reduced cycle times
Stronger collaboration and clear ownership across functions
Reduce risk through governance, QA, and compliance standards
Enabled the team to scale and deliver high-impact work consistently

The systems, documentation, governance, and operational standards established during this work created a stronger foundation for future growth. By reducing ambiguity, improving cross-functional collaboration, and standardizing how work was planned and delivered, the web function was better positioned to scale alongside the business.
